School Behaviour and Support Management Plan

Commencing in 2025, we are pleased to introduce our School Behaviour and Support Management Plan, a comprehensive framework designed to foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. The purpose of this plan is to guide students in developing appropriate behaviours, ensuring they can thrive academically and socially. It is grounded in promoting respect, responsibility, and self-regulation.

The SBSMP focuses on proactive strategies, such as setting clear expectations for behaviour, teaching social and emotional skills, and recognising positive actions. When issues arise, the plan emphasises restorative approaches, helping students reflect on their actions, understand the impact on others, and take steps to make positive changes.

We aim to support students with individual needs by offering tailored interventions. These may include additional behavioural support, counselling, or adjustments to their learning environment. The plan ensures that all students, regardless of their needs, receive fair and consistent treatment in a nurturing atmosphere.

Our goal is to work together with families to create a safe, respectful, and effective school community. We encourage open communication and collaboration with parents to ensure the success of the plan and to help each child achieve their best potential.

Attendance and absences

Students must attend school regularly so they can achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options.

In NSW, all children from the age of 6 are legally required to attend school or be registered for home schooling through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). All students must complete Year 10, or its equivalent and remain in school, employment or training until they turn 17.
