Hello to everyone in the Shalvey Public School community. Yesterday many families visited our school for an information session in the hall, followed by visits to classrooms and to the Library. It was wonderful that lots of families visited the Library. Thank you for making the time and the effort.
Our school is implementing an exciting new program, which started last night at our information session. We are implementing a Parent/Guardian borrowing scheme, in which, a parent/relative/carer can borrow up to 5 books for their children for up to four weeks. We had ten family groups come and borrow lots of books for their sons and daughters. All parents and carers are welcome to visit the library before or after school and the library staff can explain this new program (it will only take about a minute to explain). They can then borrow up to 5 books if they wish to.
Our next item will be on the premier's reading challenge. Standby to find out which of our students have read lots of Premier's Reading Challenge books.
